Carl Long earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Christian University. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Texas. He is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers and is active in NEWH. His is a member of the Founding and Allied Executive Member Committee for AAHOA.
For over 13 years, Mr. Long has several areas of responsibility for executive management and implementation of PMI’s system of purchasing management. He was stationed in India overseeing PMI’s India operation and has also headed up the Latin American operations. Currently Mr. Long is in Dallas, Texas overseeing the many Kimpton Hotels and Latin American hotels that PMI is engaged. Mr. Long has contributed articles on the topic of project purchasing and the special requirements for FF&E and OS&E in a hotel to HOTEL magazine, Hotel Business, and has been featured in Hospitality Biz. He has been a speaker at hospitality industry events such as HDExpo, Boutique Design, and HIFI as an expert in project purchasing. Mr. Long is a member of NEWH, Asian American Hotel Association (AAHOA) and the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP).
